Veteran Workforce Value - Data Employers Care About

Retention & Loyalty

  • Replacing an employee can cost 50–200% of their annual salary, making veteran retention a major cost advantage.

Leadership & Performance

  • Veterans are 2–3 times more likely to hold leadership roles in organizations due to military training in decision-making, accountability, and mission execution.

Work Ethic & Reliability

  • Studies show veterans have lower absenteeism and higher reliability compared to the general workforce.

Skills & Workforce Readiness

Each year roughly 200,000 service members transition out of the military, bringing experience in:

  • leadership and team management
  • logistics and operations
  • cybersecurity and technology
  • project and mission execution

Employee Engagement

Companies with strong employee resource groups report:

  • Higher employee engagement
  • Improved workplace culture
